Internet vs. World Wide Web
Is the internet and with the World Wide Web the same or different?
Internet was created around the 1960’s and was conceptualized by ARPANet or Advanced Research Projects Agency, it was used on college campus and military bases. The internet is made of many connected networks, In the 1960s, several different groups developed remote connections for computers. Most of these projects were funded by the government . It took many years of research to develop the different technologies associated with the internet. HTTP Protocol was created and is a protocol which allows the fetching of resources, such as HTML documents. It is the foundation of any data exchange on the Web and a client-server protocol, which means requests are initiated by the recipient, usually the Web browser. World Wide Web was created after the HTTP Protocol. However; The World Wide Web was is a collection of web pages following the http protocol that can be accessed via the Internet from any part of the world. Web lead to many networks and people began networking with each other. Chat rooms and news outlets were created, and we now have a massive connection of social media and so many things to to on the internet. It lead to a whole new world and I think they are both the same and different.
